EPA Administrator Undergoes Skin Cancer Surgery

He recommends sunscreen and dermatology screenings.

Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Lee Zeldin announced he recently had surgery for skin cancer. He recommended that people use sunscreen.

“I’m grateful to the incredible medical team at Walter Reed Medical Center who recently fully removed basal cell carcinoma (BCC) from my face,” Administrator Zeldin stated. “I’m relieved to be cancer-free, and I want to share my experience to help raise awareness for you and the people you care about.”

After describing the procedure that was done on his nose, the EPA administrator stated, “Like many people, there were plenty of moments in my life when I spent time in the sun without sunscreen. That was a mistake. Consistently using SPF 30 or higher and getting regular skin checks can go a long way in preventing this.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For swift healing for Administrator Zeldin and for the medical team who will monitor his aftercare.
  • For discernment for U.S. officials as they advocate for health screenings and treatments.
